The Crown Response Office was established in September 2024 to coordinate and facilitate cross-government decision making and implement the Crown's response to the Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry. The Office sits within the Public Service Commission. The creation of the Office within a central Government agency was a key recommendation in the Royal Commission's final report, Whanaketia – through pain and trauma, from darkness to light.
The Crown Response Office plays an important strategic, advisory and coordination role to ensure the Crown is joined up and focused on the right priorities.
We currently have a newly created fixed term or secondment opportunity until 30 June 2026 for a Manager - Redress Programme reporting to the General Manager Redress System Strategy.
The Manager, Redress Programme will provide strategic leadership support to the General Manager Redress System Strategy and is responsible for overseeing the Redress programme, ensuring its workstreams are aligned, prioritised, and delivered effectively, to the agreed quality standards, on time and within budget.
This role leads a team of Principal and Senior Advisors focused on the Redress programme. It provides direction and support as the team develops Redress programme plans, operational policies and tools, and prepares advice for Ministers and Senior Leaders.

The full-time salary for this role starts at $164,759 and is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
