A leading semiconductor company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of thermal solutions for high-end microprocessors. This role involves collaboration with R&D teams and conducting mechanical and thermal validations. Candidates should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and have a basic understanding of data analysis and 3D modeling. A permanent right to work in Mexico is required. As members of the Platform Hardware Engineering team, mechanical, thermal and system engineers work in close collaboration with multiple disciplines in different geos to develop novel thermo-mechanical solutions for the next generation of high-end microprocessors and systems.
In this position, you will support the design of thermal solutions, reference platforms and systems to validate microprocessors/chipsets and enable suppliers to ensure world-class quality and reliable Intel products for our customers.
A Hardware Design Engineer focused on testing and validation works with RnD hardware team to evaluate mechanical and thermal validation plans, support the execution of testing, analyze test results, perform failure analysis, design testing fixtures, and support engineering test metrologies.
Works in conjunction with design team to define and conduct feasibility studies and develops and implements test plans and parameters for new and existing mechanical designs and thermal solutions, including functionality validation, reliability, and safety.
Apply mechanical expertise and test equipment knowledge to provide useful insights from test results. Coordinates with engineering teams and equipment suppliers to keep testing capabilities up to date.
Supports design reviews and performs system acceptance tests working with diverse customers, performs structural and stress analysis of the key mechanical components such as the chassis structure, heat sinks, and thermal attachment, prototypes testing and collaborate on design improvements.
Develop automated tools for data collection and data analysis.
