Descripción del empleo

ITX is hiring a Tech Lead for AI & Data projects!

At ITX, being a Tech Lead means you’re the go-to person for your team’s technical work. You make sure everything your team builds meets the client’s needs, fits the budget and timeline, and checks all the boxes for quality.

You’re the one teammates and clients turn to for technical decisions, big or small. You help everyone get clear on what needs to be done, pick the best solutions, and keep things moving smoothly. When challenges pop up, you’re there to guide the way.

You’re hands-on in standups and team chats, always encouraging open communication and teamwork. You review code, keep ITX’s standards high, and love finding smarter, simpler ways to get things done. You’re always learning, sharing new ideas, and helping your team grow—so everyone can reach their goals together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical effort for your Delivery Team, driving clarity and confidence with clients and team members.
  • Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Apache Airflow, dbt, and cloud-native services.
  • Build and optimize data processing frameworks with Apache Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with data and AI engineers to operationalize machine learning models and integrate AI services (Azure AI, AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, Databricks MLflow).
  • Implement data quality, governance, and observability practices, ensuring compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.
  • Design and maintain data models and analytical layers for self-service analytics and business intelligence.
  • Evaluate emerging tools and frameworks to ensure best-in-class performance and cost efficiency.
  • Facilitate technical growth and improvement within your team, mentoring and developing talent.
  • Produce accurate work estimates and collaborate to meet timeline and budget expectations.
  • Perform code reviews, uphold standards, and drive process improvements.
  • Actively learn and share new technologies and trends, evaluating and developing your team’s skills.
Core Qualifications
  • 2 to 3 years of experience leading technical development.
  • Deep, hands‑on experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong understanding of Delta Lake, Spark optimization, and distributed data processing.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark; experience with Apache Airflow and dbt.
  • Knowledge of MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure Machine Learning.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, lineage, cataloging, and security (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in Agile environments and cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Certifications
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Associate
  • Snowflake SnowPro Core / Advanced Architect
  • AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer or AI Engineer Associate
ITX’s Compensation Philosophy

Equality in compensation has been our practice since ITX started in 1997. ITX believes that market‑based pay ensures fair and equitable compensation for our worldwide team members and pay that is based on the market, not on who has the best negotiation skills. At ITX, you’ll never discover that someone in the same job with the same experience makes more than you, or that there are pay gaps based on race, gender, disability, or age.

How do our team members experience market-based pay at ITX? We gather market data to benchmark each position in our candidates’ and team members’ locations and use these benchmarks for candidate offers and to perform regular compensation reviews for our team members. You’ll never have to worry about asking for a pay raise again. At least once a year ITX automatically adjusts pay when the benchmark is higher than our team member’s compensation.

In Latam, the pay range for the Tech Lead role is USD $5500 to $7900 monthly, depending on experience, specific skills and certifications, and education. Based on your location in Latam pay ranges could be adjusted according to local market data, which can vary from country to country. This variation percentage could be 15% lower or 17% higher.

Do you have questions about ITX’s compensation practices? Let us know! We’re proud of how we do compensation at ITX and welcome the opportunity to share more.
