Responsible for developing programs that reduce environmental impact and manage workplace health standards, the ideal candidate will possess a degree in a relevant field and over 5 years of experience in environmental regulations implementation. Formación

• Minimum 5 years in management and implementation of environmental regulations and Safety and Hygiene.
• Experience in teaching normative courses.
• Preparation of environmental documents (EIA, COA).

To promote a Culture of Safety Health and Environmental Protection thus safeguarding the physical integrity of employees facilities and the Environment through the implementation of policies guidelines procedures training programs and complying with current legal requirements in terms of Safety Occupational Health and Environment. Scope : The scope of this role requires the incumbent to attend administrative or technical support at a higher level and is gaining or has achieved full proficiency in their specific discipline area. Limited supervision. Incumbents typically work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Normally he receives little instruction in the daily work general instructions on newly submitted assignments. You have a substantial understanding of the job and apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Work on tasks that are moderately difficult requiring judgment to solve problems or make recommendations. Authority : Limited authority in the control of personnel under its charge.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assesses and monitors the companys practices to ensure compliance with the requirement ISO 45001 & ISO 14001.
• Develops environmental health and safety programs that result in cost savings and reduction in the companys environmental footprint and potential legal environmental liabilities.
• Ensures the organizations safety health and environmental regulatory compliance. Ensures that safety health and environmental record-keeping procedures are followed. Identifies environmental / safety factors that may adversely affect employee health and safety.
• Comprehensive analysis assessment and testing of potential safety health and environmental exposures.
• Report safety health and environmental non-compliance issues to management; Teams with management to develop recommendation solutions.
• Enforces established policies and procedures and takes corrective action when necessary.
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine the appropriate action.
• Receive general instructions about routine work new projects or assignments.
• Training operational personnel on EHS mandatory training.
• Responsible of chemicals management.
• Responsible of waste management.
• Eventually support projects and events carried out by HR
• Eventually follow up and get involved in different required certifications

Related Education & Experience

• Bachelors Degree Biochemical environmental or industrial engineering
• Implementation of environmental regulations
• Experience of waste management
• Microsoft package.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Desirable experience :
• Minimum experience of 5 years in management and implementation of environmental regulations and Safety and Hygiene.
• Intermediate or advanced English skills.
• Experience in the teaching of normative courses.
• Preparation of environmental documents (EIA COA)
• Special skills and experience in environmental management system as well as occupational health and safety :
• Operate the allocations with the lowest waste production in accordance with the companys standards.
• Follow the environmental and occupational health and safety policy. Be aware of negative environmental impacts as well as occupational health and safety risks.
• Operate following the objectives of the environmental and occupational health and safety plan as well as other regulatory documents involved.
• Immediately inform any environmental and occupational health and safety representative when they detect a problem.
• Give suggestions to improve the companys environmental and occupational health and safety system.
• Participate in environmental and occupational health and safety projects and activities of the committees of these systems.
