• Significant experience leading and growing teams of senior technology professionals, ideally in customer and partner facing roles;
• High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations, with both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Proven experience in any of the following domains : Cloud Architecture, Databases, Data Engineering, ML / AI, IOT, Contact Centers;
• Exceptional influencing skills and negotiation skills;
• Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and / or relevant tech experience;
• Passion for technology and for learning;
• Strong verbal and written communications skills in both Spanish and English are a must.
• Portuguese is desirable;
• The position can be based in Bogotá or Mexico DF.

Some travel will be required.

Job summary

This role can be based in Mexico or Colombia.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced technical manager to lead a team of Partner Management Solution Architects (PMSA) across Spanish-speaking countries in Latin America to help our thriving ecosystem of consulting partners scale and grow their businesses.

In this role, you will hire and develop some of the industry's best cloud-based solutions architects, coach them on cloud adoption best practices, mentor and empower them to further develop their technical areas of depth as well as their communication, presentation and strategic advisory skills.

You will be partnering with other teams within AWS such as service teams, training, marketing, and professional services, prioritizing your initiatives and aligning goals to maximize long term value.

You and your team will shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS services within partners in Latin America.

You will be interacting directly with executive partners to better understand their needs and align the right resources and tools to maximize their success.

You will be measuring and delivering results, while staying in touch with the pace of innovation of the AWS technology and its use cases.

You will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right as well so that you can shape the customer and solutions-focused initiatives of your team.

You will get to practice your creativity in driving the link of technology to tangible solutions and educating partners about the art of the possible.

Key job responsibilities

• You should be an exceptional builder of great people.
• You will be responsible for hiring,, onboarding, training, and developing PMSAs to work with partners in Spanish-speaking countries across Latin America;
• Formulate and execute partner-focused strategies to drive adoption of AWS;
• Lead a team to onboard, evangelize, educate and support our partners on AWS practices;
• Provide architectural guidance to help partners develop their solutions on AWS;
• Drive adoption of AWS best-practices programs;
• Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, blogs, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices;
• Drive Partner Solutions Architecture initiatives across multiple geographies;
• Act as a conduit and liaison between partners, service engineering teams and support.
