International Software Engineer (Web Applications + Data-Driven Systems)
Location
Remote (Global) — must work primarily U.S. Eastern Time (EST/ET)

We're looking for a strong international software engineer to help build and maintain web applications and data-oriented, data-driven systems. You'll work closely with product and operations to ship features quickly, build reliable backends, and create clean data pipelines and dashboards that power decision-making.
This role is ideal for someone who is full-stack capable, pragmatic, and comfortable working in fast-moving environments where shipping and iteration matter.

What You'll Do

• Build and improve web applications (frontend + backend) with a focus on usability, speed, and reliability
• Design and implement data-driven features, including analytics, reporting, and workflow automation
• Build and maintain APIs, database schemas, and backend services
• Create and optimize data models, ETL/ELT workflows, and integrations with third-party tools
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews and engineering standards
• Work from tickets/specs, ask clarifying questions early, and communicate progress clearly

What We're Looking For (Requirements)

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience (or demonstrably equivalent ability)
• Experience building production web applications using one or more of:
• Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask)
• Other modern frameworks are fine if you can ramp fast
• Strong fundamentals in:
• Relational databases (Postgres/MySQL) and SQL
• Data modeling and building data-heavy features
• Ability to work EST hours reliably (overlap required for meetings and collaboration)
• Strong English communication and proactive ownership mindset

Nice to Have (Bonus Points)

• Experience with data tooling: dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Kafka, Spark, or similar
• Experience with cloud + DevOps: AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, CI/CD
• Experience with analytics/dashboards: Metabase, Superset, Looker, PowerBI, or custom dashboards
• Familiarity with AI/LLM-powered applications, RAG, embeddings, or automation workflows
• Prior work in operationally intensive products (marketplaces, BPO tooling, internal ops platforms)
