A leading provider of open source software is looking for a developer to work remotely in the Americas. You will collaborate with a distributed team, focusing on writing high-quality code and improving the Landscape codebase while participating in code reviews. This position values passion for technology and team collaboration. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and strong proficiency in Python, as well as experience with web frameworks and databases. Formación

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
  • Experience developing public-facing APIs and web applications.
  • Proficiency in Python and frameworks like Flask and Django.

Location

This role will be based remotely in the Americas region.

What you’ll do
  • Collaborate proactively with a distributed team
  • Write high‑quality code to create new features, fix bugs and modernize the Landscape codebase
  • Demonstrate your strong commitment to code quality and automated testing
  • Participate in the engineering process with code and architectural reviews
  • Take personal ownership of problems and design and deliver solutions
  • Work remotely with global travel 2 to 4 weeks for internal and external events
  • Assist with release management during each development cycle
  • Collaborate with devops for Landscape SaaS, Canonical's hosted Landscape
