A leading automotive supplier in Tlaquepaque is seeking a Senior Software Technical Lead to oversee software development for Memory Seat Modules. This role requires leadership in software design and project management, ensuring compliance with automotive standards. Candidates must possess deep knowledge in embedded systems, AUTOSAR architecture, and soft skills for effective communication. The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field and at least 8 years of experience in automotive software development.

SENIOR SOFTWARE TECHNICAL LEAD – MEMORY SEAT MODULES

Location: Tlaquepaque, Mexico

YOUR TASKS

As a Senior Software Technical Lead, you will take ownership of software development for Memory Seat Modules, ensuring robust architecture, compliance with automotive standards, and technical excellence. You will lead complex projects, mentor engineers, and act as the primary technical authority for software topics, driving innovation and quality across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Strategy

• Serve as the technical authority for software design decisions and risk assessments.
• Support with the definition and evolution of software architecture for Memory Seat Modules, ensuring scalability and compliance with AUTOSAR and Functional Safety.

Project Ownership

• Accountable of software planning, estimation, and delivery for global OEM programs.
• Coordinate with system, hardware, and test teams to ensure seamless integration.

Advanced Development & Quality Assurance

• Oversee implementation of embedded software for seat control functionalities (memory positions, heating, venting, supervised movement).
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, cybersecurity requirements, and functional safety guidelines.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the senior technical interface for OEM customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and present high-level technical documentation and reports.

Mentorship & Process Improvement

• Coach and mentor junior engineers, fostering technical growth.
• Drive continuous improvement in software development processes and tools.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• 8+ years in embedded software development for automotive applications.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role within automotive electronics.
• Proven track record of delivering complex software projects for Tier-1 suppliers or OEMs.

Technical Expertise

• Deep knowledge of C for embedded systems.
• Strong experience with AUTOSAR architecture and configuration tools.
• Proficiency in CAN, LIN, and automotive communication protocols.
• Good understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity standards.
• Experience with software architecture design and model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink).

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a global environment.
• Strategic thinking and decision-making under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with seat control systems or body electronics.
• Familiarity with AGILE methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of ASPICE compliance and automotive quality standards.
