Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Latin America.

This is a hands‑on senior role with opportunities for technical leadership and mentorship.

You will work on an internal platform, designing and building backend services and integrations that support scalable, multi‑tenant systems.

While this role is primarily an individual contributor at the start, candidates must have prior experience mentoring or leading other developers and be comfortable stepping into a team‑lead role as the team grows.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Java (17 or higher)
• Production experience with Spring Boot and/or Quarkus
• Experience building backend and integration‑oriented services
• Solid understanding of scalable backend architectures
• Comfortable working in AWS‑based environments
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Quarkus in production
• Exposure to Apache Camel or other integration frameworks
• Experience building or supporting multi‑tenant platforms
• Background in scaling systems under growth or increased load
• Prior experience as a team lead or mentor

Location

This role is open to candidates based in Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico.
