Position Summary

SBD is seeking a global sourcing manager to join our global team. The person in this role will be a key driver of sourcing excellence, truly optimizing the procurement sector of our GSM (Global Supply Management) organization. This position supports sourcing and productivity projects, production transfers across regions, localization projects in the region as well as global sourcing events and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Support execution of LCM (Lead Category Manager) strategy within Latin America Region.
  • Manage LAG spend of category spend.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers that are in alignment with the category strategy.
  • Experience working with a global and diverse team in China, India, Mexico, and US on project execution and strategy alignment.
  • Drive world‑class cost and margin enhancement (TCO Improvement) to deliver 5% YOY productivity.
  • Lead and manage supplier relationships as the local representative for global affiliates.
  • Support the Lead Category Manager (LCM) on project management and executing category and regional strategies.
  • Experience building category cost models/clean sheets, and monitoring raw material, FX, and market trends.
  • Strong influencing and change management experience with the ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in global strategic sourcing or procurement including supplier selection.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area required, mechanical or manufacturing engineering preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, costs, and materials and experience managing mechanical component categories with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently to deliver results and influence stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to take accountability for driving team results, overcoming challenges, and working in a highly matrixed environment.
  • High degree of creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
  • Personal drive, high energy, strong teaming skills, collaborative style, and commitment to continuous professional growth.
