Your Purpose

The Public Policy, Senior Manager in Mexico will supervise the design and implementation of Bitso's public policy strategies in Mexico within the Corporate Affairs team.

As part of your responsibilities, you will research, analyze, and craft policies that align with Bitso\'s goals and values while ensuring these policies adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.

You will also create and strengthen relationships with governmental agencies, policymakers, regulators, and external stakeholders.

Who You Are

• Strong background in government policy— at least 8 years of experience.
• Previous experience working in the financial sector or tech industry.
• Passionate about Crypto.
• Highly responsible, organized and disciplined.
• Experience working with government officials, industry partners, and civil society organizations.
• Deep understanding of the global financial system.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Postgraduate degrees are not mandatory, but beneficial.
• Ability to handle private, sensitive, confidential information appropriately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively synthesize, visualize and communicate your ideas to others in English.
• Based in Mexico City.
• Availability to work full time.
• English language proficiency.

What You Will Do

• Work with Policy managers to develop public policy agendas and strategies for advancing Bitso’s interests.
• Strengthen relationships with local, state, and national lawmakers in order to influence policy making.
• Present the policy positions and opinions of the organization to the public, government officials, and other organizations.
• Analyze and take strategic decisions on how to approach the regulatory landscape in Mexico.
• Work closely with the Corporate Affairs team to help them advocate our policy positions in executive, regulatory, and legislative settings.
• Monitor and analyze policy issues and developments of importance to Bitso and provide strategic advice to senior company executives on these matters.
