Gymreapers is growing and we’ve created a new Product Development and Commercialization Analyst position in our Leon, GTO, Mexico location. You will execute design and development of products based on creative direction, product brief, and line plan, working closely with the CEO/Founder, Product Team, Graphic Design, Sourcing, and Merchandising to meet financial targets. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Takes the lead in the design and development of innovative, seasonal, replenishment, and special event lines.
- Manages the execution of styles from concept to launch, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Plans and organizes workload, ensuring high‑standard tech‑packs for co‑manufacturers.
- Communicates daily with suppliers, inspects health and safety, and creates accurate Tech Packs and BOMs.
- Assesses and appraises co‑manufacturers, relaying information to leadership.
- Collaborates with Brand, Design, Sourcing, and Product Development teams on fabric, trim, and logo developments.
- Identifies styles requiring wear testing and coordinates testing processes.
- Creates and balances identity rules with creative opportunities to elevate the brand.
- Provides insight into market trends and commercial viability of styles.
- Coordinates and supervises sample development, ensuring clear communication across language barriers.
- Manages commercial processes: technical review, customs classification, fitting review, packaging, labeling, and compliance with RSL testing.
- Stays informed of U.S.A. and Latin American duty systems and updates the sourcing roster.
- Partner with Product Creation team to align developments with factory capabilities and capacities.
- Maintains product tracker for sample status, costing, and MOQ.
- Builds a Materials Library to support new, innovative materials.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant development experience; athletic apparel a plus.
- Strong skill set in apparel design, textile properties, sizing, grading, and construction techniques.
- Excellent garment construction and engineering skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, plastics, pigments; pattern making advantage but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite; experience with 3D software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of overseas manufacturing, production, and communication.
- Functional knowledge of MS Office and project management systems.
- Strong commercial awareness and risk‑identification ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; results‑focused and detail‑oriented.
- Professional and positive attitude; strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable in a dynamic, collaborative environment with constructive feedback.
