We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead one of our Delivery Stations.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing an environment focused on delivering Amazon orders directly to customers, handling increasing volume and complexity, operating 24/7
  • Managing daily relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs)
  • Driving operational goals and metrics for your Delivery Station and communicating the vision to your team
  • Presenting operational metrics regularly to senior leadership
  • Identifying and solving problems to close performance gaps
  • Hiring and developing top talent, creating and implementing a talent plan covering acquisition, performance management, learning, development, succession planning, and employee engagement
  • Collaborating with key partners such as Transport & Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES, and Engineering

Key job responsibilities

The Ops Manager leads operations handling over 30,000 packages, managing On-The-Road execution involving Delivery Service Partners and Drivers. They develop strategies to optimize these operations, lead a team of over 7 managers and 100 associates, and are responsible for solving complex problems and making critical decisions. They foster a culture of safety, monitor service levels, and work to improve driver and associate performance. They assemble and manage the team, tracking strategies, and ensuring timely delivery.

A day in the life

This manager oversees key metrics including Safety, On-The-Road, Under the Roof, and Cost Metrics, including leading savings projects.

About the team

The manager establishes workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms at the site, setting standards for effective Delivery Station management. They translate business priorities and customer needs into solutions, using operational insights for decision-making with strong business acumen. They bring broad experience across functional and technical areas, designing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale operations.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon experience
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • 6+ years of general experience
  • Solid understanding of Last Mile operations
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • 6+ years managing people
  • 1+ years experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
  • MBA
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing
  • 2+ years managing end-to-end projects for a site or building
