A leading cosmetics company in Veracruz, Mexico seeks a Payroll Coordinator to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with local regulations. The role includes data management, payroll calculations, and generating reports. Ideal candidates will have experience in payroll processes, strong analytical skills, and a relevant degree. As a payroll coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our operational workforce.
Reporting to the Payroll Chief, you will collaborate closely with a team of two peers and work in partnership with the Human Resources team to ensure our payroll process for our manufacturing plant.
Your responsibilities will include:
Payroll Processing: Collect, review, and upload payroll data (e.g., incidents, overtime, and compensations) into the provider's platform, ensuring compliance and accuracy throughout the process.
Final Review: Conduct a thorough review of payroll reports provided by the vendor to ensure error‑free payments.
Calculations and Adjustments: Handle severance payments, terminations, and payroll deductions, including tax withholdings and other variables.
Reporting: Generate and deliver headcount reports to the HR leadership team for strategic decision‑making.
Social Security & Taxes Management: Oversee employee registrations and updates in the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) portal.
Payroll Expertise: Proven experience in payroll processes and incident management.
Data Analysis: Strong ability to interpret and generate actionable reports.
Labor Law Knowledge: Familiarity with local labor regulations and compliance requirements.
Attention to Detail: Precision in calculations and data entry.
Time Management and Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in Administration or Accounting (preferred, but open to other fields).
English proficiency (nice to have).
