This role involves overseeing tractor assembly processes and developing efficient manufacturing practices. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronic, or Mechanical Engineering, with experience in lean manufacturing strategies and process improvement.   • Owner of manufacturing modules for tractor assembly.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Engineer for Tractors assembly process (Serie 5000, 6000 and HVC)
  • Manufacturing Module Owner for Tractor Assembly (Engine, Drivetrain, Operator Station, Chassis, Assembly Line, Tier 2 Ops)
  • Design, Develop and Implement Manufacturing Process for Current and New Tractors (OFP & EPDP)
  • Working with BIT Strategy (Business Improvement Team) to Achieve Operational Goals in Safety, Quality, Deliveries and Efficiency
  • Establishes routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs.
  • Provides support and troubleshooting for current operations. Investigates, gathers and analyze data and implement solutions.
  • Develops and implements plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope. Designs operations layouts. Improves material flow and material presentation.

  • Tractor Functionality Background
  • Background in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, power systems, etc.)
  • Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.
  • Enterprise Product Delivery Process Knowledge (EPDP).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities.
  • Working knowledge of database management tools, the various loan accounting systems, and process management systems.
  • Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree on Industrial Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
