A leading technology firm in Mexico is seeking a Sales Specialists Manager to lead a team and drive technical sales strategies within their portfolio. The candidate should have a degree in engineering and at least 5 years of leadership experience in process automation. This role is essential for expanding market share and achieving revenue targets in a diverse team environment.
Purpose
The Sales Specialists Manager is responsible for leading a team of Sales Specialists within a specific portfolio or architecture, ensuring the successful execution of technical sales strategies. This role plays a critical part in aligning technical expertise with sales objectives to enable revenue growth and strengthen market positioning for DI AUT solutions. It combines deep technical knowledge with business leadership to drive value-driven customer engagement while meeting business targets.
The candidate will be responsible for driving operational growth across various Technology portfolio Groups/Elements within different Sales Groups in the region.
Reporting to the SAC Head in Mexico, the candidate will oversee a diverse team of 5-10 professionals located in different cities across Mexico.
This role requires leadership, understanding of the Digital Industries portfolio, and operational excellence to expand market share among different customers and project sales.
Main Responsibilities
1. People Management & Leadership
a. Lead and develop a team of Sales Specialists, ensuring clarity of roles, performance alignment, and professional growth.
b. Allocate resources and plan skill development to meet business objectives.
c. Oversee workforce planning and succession planning for the team.
d. Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing innovation and technical expertise.
2. Sales Enablement
a. Equip the team with the necessary knowledge, tools, and strategies for technical sales success.
b. Define and communicate technical value propositions for the portfolio/architecture.
c. Prepare the team for new product launches and technology updates.
d. Guide the team in articulating DI AUT's competitive advantages and technical differentiators, supporting deal structuring and technical validation.
e. Encourage strategic influencing of customer behavior to promote decisive actions.
3. Portfolio Strategy & Business Growth
a. Develop and implement strategies for portfolio growth aligned with Siemens' objectives.
b. Identify market opportunities and define strategies to drive sales within key segments.
c. Optimize portfolio positioning and monitor revenue, adjusting strategies as needed.
4. Business Responsibility
a. Own the technology vision and identify business potential for the portfolio.
b. Lead the execution of technical sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
c. Ensure alignment of team efforts with business priorities and strategic initiatives.
d. Track performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
e. Demonstrate consultative sales skills by understanding customer needs and collaborating with sales teams to develop tailored solutions.
f. Possess industry knowledge of various sectors and their processes.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
a. Work closely with Technical and Sales Managers to align portfolio strategy and sales execution.
b. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine offerings based on feedback.
c. Maintain clear communication with all colleagues and team members.
6. Leadership
a. Build and mentor a growth-oriented team.

c. Make decisions based on market intelligence and customer insights.

7. Professional Experience & Certifications
a. University degree in engineering (Mechatronics, Automation, Control, or related).
b. Knowledge of DCS, Connectivity, IT/OT integration.
c. Minimum of 5 years in leadership roles within process automation.
d. Proven success in driving growth and managing technical sales.
e. Experience in technical problem-solving and solution-oriented sales.
