Formación

• 2-4 years of experience as Logistics and Customs Superintendent/Manager.
• 4-6 years of experience as Logistics and Customs Compliance Group Leader.
• Knowledge of automotive logistics operations and customs compliance rules.

Responsabilidades

• Operate logistics plans based on established strategy.
• Maximize logistics network efficiency by working with planners and 3PL.
• Define activities for logistics month result reporting with finance team.
• Set up audits to compare open accruals against logistics vendors.
• Audit customs broker processes to ensure compliance.

Description

Job Title: Logistics and Customs Manager

Reports to: NA Logistics, Warehouse and Customs Mgr

Operate the logistics plans based on the strategy stablished, making sure the Motus plants and logistics service providers are performing the most efficient way, aggressively search, create, implement savings projects to benefit plant’s P&L

Logistics Operations

• Work with the Material planners and 3PL to find options to maximize the logistics network by creating milk-runs, defining pick up windows, changing transportation mode and maximizing the truck utilization.
• Act as a point of escalation whenever the 3PL, Carriers or customs brokers are not performing according to the service agreement (Daily, weekly, or as needed)

Monthly Accrual Reporting:

• Define with Motus finance team the activities and processes to be followed by the several key players that interact for the logistics month result (Customs brokers, Motus Material team, 3PL and Motus Finance team).
• Set up quarterly audit to compare open accruals in ERP against logistics vendors. (MX north plants and SPT)

Customs operation

• Set up parameters for Mx customs brokers to comply with Maquiladora requirements.
• Perform audit process to the pedimentos created by Mx customs broker to make sure they are properly filled out and avoid penalties from MX Customs Authorities.
• Record keeping activity according to Mx Customs Law

Virtual Operations with MX vendors and customers

• Define the right process to comply with IMMEX-Maquiladora compliance related to virtual pedimentos (Inbound and outbound shipments).

Invoice register to ERP (clocking invoices)

• Make sure the process in place is followed to register invoices in the ERP and run monthly KPI to compare invoices receipts vs open statements (MX North plants).

Logistics operation and transportation related to Automotive Industry

Customs compliance rules set up by Mx and USA authorities.
