This Position reports to: Regional Sales Manager LATAM

Your Role: Own the Challenge

As Local Lead Division Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective market strategy for the Motion NEMA Motors Division within the national market scope. Your mission is to strengthen and grow ABB's market presence and drive sustainable business.

You will lead the definition, planning, and execution of the market/sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for products and systems. This includes ensuring sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, team and people development as well as customer satisfaction.

Additionally, you will oversee all common functions for the Motion business in Mexico and foster synergy creation in collaboration with other Local Division Managers (LDMs).

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion Nema Motors division in Mexico and the Motion Business Area in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities
  • Propose a growth strategy, develop and shape a 3-year plan.
  • Full responsibility for the NEMA Division P&L performance.
  • Build and manage the team and collective capabilities to successfully cover the market in Mexico and its different segments.
  • Proactively identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions, as they arise.
  • Engage with key OEMs, channel partners and end users on regular basis.
  • Evaluate and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential customers, define implementation plans, and allocate necessary resources.
  • Participate in the negotiation of key contracts or frame agreements.
  • Engage with senior management stakeholders in the global division.
  • Become a reference for the local industry.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of proven experience leading front-end sales and marketing operations, with full P&L responsibility and a strong track record of profitable growth.
  • Solid background in industrial markets-preferably in automation, electric motors, or drives-with strong business development and market knowledge.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with strategic P&L management and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
  • Inclusive leadership experience managing diverse, high-performing teams in complex, multicultural environments.
  • Synergy mindset to foster cross-division collaboration.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a growth mindset, proactive decision-making, and a focus on accountability.
  • Thought leadership skills to influence and shape key industry segments in Mexico.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
