Descripción del empleo

To provide field operations/maintenance work for the field vehicle fleet and Ground Support Equipment, this role requires performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and/or modifications.

Responsibilities include:

1. Repairs, modifications, and inspections of field vehicle fleet and ground equipment.
2. Diagnosing issues, disassembling equipment, repairing, and making adjustments for safe and efficient operation.
3. Completing paperwork such as VURR, VAGIS, and FAMIS documentation.
4. Maintaining a clean and safe work area following corporate/OSHA standards.
5. Providing guidance to technicians and trainees.
6. Ensuring project completion and maintaining inventory levels of maintenance materials.
7. Interfacing with customers (FedEx employees), vendors, and internal departments regarding repairs.

Qualifications include:

• Six (6) years of recent fleet, automotive, heavy equipment, or truck maintenance experience with applicable licenses or vocational training.
• Knowledge of automotive and testing equipment, gauges, and tools for troubleshooting hydraulic, gasoline, electrical, and diesel automotive equipment.
• Ability to work independently for extended periods.
• Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy components.
• Preferred experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Fluency in English.
