Job Title: Learning and Development Manager

Location: Aguascalientes, Mexico

Reports to: Regional Talent Manager, Minth North America

Position Summary

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing effective learning strategies and programs that enhance employee performance and support organizational goals. This role ensures employees have the knowledge, skills, and capabilities needed to succeed in their current roles and prepare for future growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and collaboration with managers and leadership.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning programs including workshops, e-learning modules, onboarding programs, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of learning programs, using data and feedback to make continuous improvements.
  • Partner with department heads and subject matter experts to align learning strategies with business objectives.
  • Manage external training vendors and oversee contracts to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead and coach a team of learning specialists or coordinators (if applicable).
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization.
  • Stay current with industry trends and new learning technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Support performance management processes, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in learning and development, talent management, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training and development programs.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, both in-person and virtual.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to evaluate learning effectiveness.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-CP/SCP, ATD certification) is a plus
  • Experience in automobile industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning principles.
