Job Description
Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance operations in Mexico.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in local accounting practices, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in accordance with Mexican accounting standards (NIF).
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes to do the invoices validation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounting records.
  • Assist with monthly tax filings (IVA, ISR, DIOT) and ensure compliance with SAT regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and fiscal reviews.
  • Help prepare reports for IMSS, INFONAVIT, and other government entities.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Maintain accounting records.
  • Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
  • Review and validation of the expense's invoices related to the T&E reports.
  • Monthly preparation of accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) reconciliations.
  • Monthly review and retrieval of electronic tax receipts (CFDI).
  • Preparation of working papers for annual IT calculation.
  • Issuance invoices and payment complements documents.
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and electronic accounting reports.
  • Reconciliation of equity accounts and follow‑up on corporate books.
  • Calculation of depreciation and amortization of assets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 0‑2 years of experience in accounting (internships or entry‑level roles).
  • Basic knowledge of Mexican tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., -Dynamics).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with SAT platforms and electronic invoicing (CFDI).
  • Experience with payroll processes and social security reporting.
  • Good communication skills in Spanish.
