Una empresa automotriz internacional busca un especialista en comercio exterior para gestionar el cumplimiento de las regulaciones de importación de vehículos. Se requiere al menos dos años de experiencia en procesos aduaneros, así como un profundo conocimiento del marco legal y fiscal del comercio internacional. La posición implica la coordinación de la documentación necesaria y la supervisión de grupos. Se valorará la diversidad y no se proporcionará asistencia para reubicación.

Formación

  • Licenciatura preferentemente en Comercio Internacional, Relaciones Internacionales o Finanzas.
  • Mínimo 2 años de experiencia en procesos aduaneros.
  • Conocimientos en Acuerdos de Libre Comercio y normativas AEO.
  • Capacidad para diseñar KPIs y mantener scorecards de rendimiento.

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinar el proceso de importación de vehículos cumpliendo las regulaciones legales.
  • Comunicarme con agentes de aduanas y transportistas para asegurar la documentación correcta.
  • Ejecutar actividades de control interno para asegurar el cumplimiento de normas.
  • Dar soporte a la certificación AEO y requerimientos gubernamentales relacionados.

Overview

Descripción del trabajo para Mercedes-Benz AG. Objective: Responsible for the compliant import process performance for PC Vehicles at MBMex and the ongoing collaboration with MBAG, DAICOM and Suppliers for the project's completion requirements while ensuring the correct processing of foreign trade operations. This function is also in charge of performing all reporting registration and funding required in order to executing import related activities. The Specialist is also responsible for ensuring the establishment and maintenance of control points to new and existing processes in the framework of the corporate policy and the Trade Compliance framework. The specialist is also in charge of the compliant and accurate processing of the Month-end Closure, Duty Payment, accordingly with ITC-MX Regulation team and with the corresponding Import PC vehicles permits. Support all activities related to Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), Foreign Trade related government requirements for the company and Customs special projects, as well as any activity required by the International Trade Compliance department.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate & timely process the vehicle import operations performed by MBMex through air, land & sea freight complying with the legal framework:
    1. Communicate with customs brokers, ocean/air carriers, and freight forwarders, as necessary, to ensure proper documentation and filing of import and export entries in accordance with Mexican customs regulations and corporate guidelines.
    2. Process sporadic temporary exports and returns of materials or vehicles according to the corporate and legal Export Controls guidelines.
    3. Adhere to Corporate and legal record retention policies, ensuring the documental compliance of trade related files.
    4. Prepare MBMex Customs Compliance and Foreign Trade Statistics reports for internal or external purposes.
    5. Calculate correctly and process funding requests to cover all the necessary duty/tax payments needed for the import operations.
  2. Design KPIs and maintain performance scorecards, finding synergies across different regions / entities.
  3. Execute internal control activities to ensure the adherence of processes to corporate and legal standards.
  4. Take the necessary actions within the area in order to contribute to the achievement and maintenance of certificates of quality, environmental, fiscal, information technology or any other; as well as being required to maintain the confidentiality of information company or business that may make the certification dilemma or welfare of the company itself or its employees.
  5. Execute and provide support for AEO Certification and Foreign Trade related government requirements for the company and Customs special projects, as well as any activity required by the International Trade Compliance department.
Qualifications
  1. Education: Bachelor Degree preferable in International Trade, Foreign Trade, International Relations, Finance or related field.
  2. Language(s): Advanced English.
  3. Professional experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in accountant or law firm, mexican customs, regulation, Import & Export customs process, Customs Brokerage firm or large multi-national business. Experience supervising groups.
  4. Additional Qualifications: Thorough knowledge and understanding of Foreign Trade, customs legal framework and automotive industry. Knowledge of the Automotive Fiscal Deposit regime. Expert knowledge on Free Trade Agreements and special programs (AEO, CTPAT, VAT, domestic and international requirements, import controls). VUCEM usage, SAAI portal and HTS basics.
