A technology solutions company in Mexicali is seeking an experienced IT Plant Manager responsible for overseeing IT infrastructure construction, managing maintenance tasks, and ensuring effective communication with headquarters. Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and familiarity with IT best practices. Fluency in English and a proven ability to manage teams are essential. This role involves supporting various IT requests and ensuring the performance of infrastructure systems.
Support the handover of various IT hardware, software, and digital data from the MNC headquarters.
Lead in proposing and building the IT infrastructure construction for the Mexico factory;
Oversee the monitoring of infrastructure systems to ensure high availability and performance, addressing issues proactively.
Performs routine tasks for plant IT hardware/software maintenance work (such as Servers, Security, Network, Firewall, Software, MS Office 365 migration, laptops/desktops, etc),
Some ERP support activities in the Mexicali plant (Have a dedicated IT ERP team in headquarters to handle, but need some simple support or communication on site)
Working closely with the project manager and team members to provide solutions and support, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Maintains systems documentation for testing and validation;
Collaborates with IT infrastructure vendors to analyse and troubleshoot solutions.
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant IT work experience.
Have experience in building IT infrastructure such as AD/Domain Server, Network/Firewall/VPN/Wireless for a mid-sized company;
Familiar with communication with MNC headquarters IT and can handle Mexicali on-site daily IT requests;
Management - Ability to assess your ability to manage your time, and the effectiveness of your team(tech engineer) to reach department objectives, to communicate with Sensata global IT for transition, to communicate with other plants’ business lines, and to follow China HQ’s management guidelines
Familiarity with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
