A non-profit educational organization in Durango is seeking passionate Instructional Assistants to provide educational instruction and support to students with special needs. Responsibilities include picking up students, assisting with assignments, and creating a positive learning environment. Our Instructional Assistants create a safe classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the intellectual and social growth of students. If qualified, you may also be asked to serve as a substitute teacher.

A typical day includes

• Using a company vehicle, pick up students from their home and create a positive start to their day.
• Helping students complete assignments.
• Helping students regulate their frustrations.
• Dropping students off at home at the end of the day.

The ideal candidate

• Unwavering belief in and commitment to supporting students with their educational goals.
• Knowledge of child cognitive development and different learning styles.
• Associate's Degree or 60 units preferred.
• Passed the CBEST.
