A global sports organization is seeking a Host City Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of obligations for the FIFA World Cup 26. The successful candidate will oversee critical responsibilities, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence during the tournament. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field, be fluent in English and Spanish, and have 5–10 years of project management experience. This is a full-time fixed-term position based in Mexico City.

Formación

Position

Reporting to the Chief Tournament Officer, the Host City Manager will be a key member of the FIFA World Cup 26TM local team.

This role will lead the coordination and delivery of Host City obligations, ensuring operational excellence and stakeholder alignment across all phases of the tournament.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee planning and execution of Host City contractual obligations (e.g., Host City Agreement, Stadium Agreement, Fan Festival, etc.).
  • Coordinate across FIFA26 departments and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of services and facilities.
  • Develop dashboards, timelines, and reporting tools to monitor progress and elevate risks.
  • Prepare executive‑level briefings and updates for FIFA, Host City Committee, and partners.
  • Lead site visits, readiness exercises, and simulations in collaboration with functional areas.
  • Serve as on‑site support during tournament time, managing logistics and command center operations.
  • Foster strong relationships with local authorities, venue operators, and community partners.
  • Organize and lead host city tours for VIPs, FIFA staff, and stakeholders.
