Graduate Software Engineer, Open Source and Linux, Canonical Ubuntu – Remote (Worldwide).
Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. We operate with a global, distributed team and offer largely home-based roles. Teams align across time zones (EMEA, APAC, AMER) and meet in person a few times per year to align on strategy and execution.
The company is founder led, profitable and growing. This is an exciting entry point for graduates with outstanding academic results who want to contribute to the open source stack. We identify teams and projects that fit skills and motivations. The process is competitive and requires effort and excellence.
Most engineering teams work from home, with a focus on collaboration, coaching, and pair programming. This is full-time, five days a week, with a balance of challenging work and predictable hours typical of a graduate role.
We bring engineering teams together in person twice a year for a sprint with other teams to stimulate discussion and development across technologies and career paths.
If you are excited about open source and have been a consistent high-performing student, this role provides a challenging and exciting start to your career.
