This role is ideal for a highly skilled software engineer passionate about building scalable, high-performance applications using Golang and Node.js. You will work on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backend services and APIs while collaborating with a globally distributed team. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to data-intensive applications, optimize engineering processes, and deploy solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP. You will participate in code reviews, mentor team members, and ensure best practices in software development. This role provides autonomy in solving complex problems and the chance to work with modern technologies in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy secure and scalable Golang and Node.js services.
• Build and maintain high-throughput GRPC and RESTful APIs.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and team processes.
• Develop and refine technical requirements for new and existing projects.
• Monitor and improve engineering metrics and performance of services.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, prioritizing timely and effective solutions.
• Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple locations to deliver high-quality software.
• Remote work flexibility with locations across Mexico and select Latin American countries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years developing applications using Golang, Node.js, and frontend frameworks such as React.
• 3+ years building highly scalable, performant, and responsive web applications.
• 3+ years deploying applications on cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• 3+ years working with Linux systems or shell scripting.
• 2+ years of experience with Typescript and Golang.
• Strong experience writing and consuming APIs and interacting with databases such as MongoDB.
• Familiarity with technologies including Redis, Git, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience working in globally distributed teams.
• Advanced oral English and native Spanish.
