General Manager – LATAM (Sales Leadership)

Location: Mexico City

Sector: Telecoms, Utilities, Transportation & Government

Reporting to: VP Sales

A global technology company is seeking a highly driven General Manager for LATAM to lead regional sales and accelerate business growth across Communication Service Providers, Utilities, Transportation and Government sectors.

About the Role

This leadership position is responsible for steering all commercial activity in LATAM, expanding market presence, and achieving ambitious annual sales targets across products, services and maintenance. You will manage a high-performing sales organisation, strengthen customer relationships, and drive strategic initiatives to support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Growth
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets for products, services and maintenance
  • Grow regional sales through strategic planning, market development and new customer acquisition
  • Maximise opportunities within existing accounts while securing new clients
  • Drive both direct and indirect (channel) sales initiatives
Customer Engagement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at all levels, including C‑Suite
  • Develop strategic partnerships to support scalability across LATAM
  • Leverage an existing network within major regional service providers and utilities
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor Sales and Pre‑Sales Engineers to consistent overachievement
  • Promote clear, repeatable sales processes and accurate forecasting
  • Maintain high professional standards across all team activities
Business & Market Insight
  • Stay informed on market shifts, competitor activity and macro‑economic trends
  • Define and refine the company’s value proposition for the LATAM market
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews, prepare annual sales plans, and run weekly pipeline and revenue forecasts
  • Lead targeted sales campaigns
Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Business Operations, Finance, Pre‑Sales, Product Management, Services and R&D teams to ensure execution excellence.

About You
Experience
  • Extensive sales leadership experience within LATAM
  • Strong background in telecom solutions and selling into Service Providers / Telcos
  • Proven success selling to C‑Suite executives
  • Strong track record in Government and Utility sectors across the region
  • Well‑established industry contacts across major LATAM players
Knowledge & Skills
  • Deep understanding of the telecoms and B2B landscape
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Superior command of English (professional level)
  • Fluency in Spanish (required)
  • Additional regional languages a plus
