Overview

The Finance Manager holds a senior leadership position within the company, responsible for managing and directing the Operations Plant Finance planning, budgeting, and reporting functions. They play a crucial role in strategic decision-making and provide financial insights to support organizational growth and stability. The Finance Manager role demands a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of operational financial intricacies. They are instrumental in guiding the company's operational financial decisions. This position plays a key role in managing financial performance, ensuring operations reporting, controlling operational costs, and safeguarding the company’s assets. The Finance Manager will act as the Controller, ensuring that the management of capital expenditures (CAPEX) and inventory aligns with company goals. The Finance Manager will lead a team to ensure financial compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the plant finance function for the Mexico locations assigned to the role (At least 2).
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports and variance analysis.
  • Ensure proper management of capital expenditures (CAPEX), working closely with plant managers and the executive team to prioritize and allocate resources effectively.
  • Ensure proper management/controls of Inventory, working closely with plant managers and the executive team to prioritize and allocate resources effectively for proper control and actions to keep the levels of inventory according to the company targets.
  • Work close with the business to ensure correct follow up and actions that lead to the improvement of KPIs with special emphasis in Productivity and Efficiency and the correspondent impact in conversion cost.
  • Monitor and control CAPEX spending, ensuring that expenditures align with the company’s strategic goals and are within budget.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including plant-specific budgets for the assigned locations, and ensure alignment with corporate financial objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Oversee internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
  • Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly forecasting to ensure financial goals are being met, identifying potential variances and addressing any issues proactively.
  • Analyze financial performance, advise risks or opportunities, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare detailed reports for the executive team, highlighting financial performance, CAPEX utilization, inventory levels, productivity/efficiency, and other key financial metrics.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration within the finance team and across plant operations.
Qualifications
  • 10-12 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance & accounting (or equivalent of education and experience)
  • Proactive, results-driven, and able to work under pressure.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • High level of English communication skills.
Travel

Travel: 30-40% of time. This role will be based in any of the Mexican plants, overseeing operations at multiple plant locations. The Finance Manager will need to travel between the plants as needed.
