A leading engineering consulting firm in Querétaro is seeking a CAD Designer to contribute to product design and development. Responsibilities include creating CAD models and drawings, working within engineering standards, and monitoring project quality. Job Description Summary

Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Accountable for the quality of own work. Subject to direct operations supervision / prescribed work instructions / systems checking. Executes within a well‑defined operations framework. There is generally a step‑by‑step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create CAD models and drawings using company-sponsored CAD systems
• Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.
• Understand Design Change documentation and requirements and execute changes.
• Define dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances required for proper clearances and fits while maximizing manufacturing capabilities.
• Learn to perform basic stack-ups
• Understand input from the different engineering disciplines
• Concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality, and ensure schedule requirements are met
• Identify process and product improvements
• Self-check of work

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in related field (Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, etc.)
• Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position
• Must be able to maintain a normal day‑to‑day fluid conversation in English on any topic with few mistakes (mistakes that do not affect clear understanding)
• Sound understanding of design principles relevant to function (GD&T, CAD)
• Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate across functions
