• Experience running an end-to-end solution and mentoring/managing junior data scientists.
• Proficiency with Python and the Python Machine Learning toolkit along with Data Learning frameworks.
• Proficiency/experience with Machine Learning deployment strategies and infrastructure.
• Significant experience in presenting complex data science techniques to wide-ranging audiences.

Role purpose

Reporting to the analytics head based in London/HK which falls under the wider remit of the Wholesale Chief Data and Analytics Office (WCDAO) framework, this is a position responsible for delivery of quality analytics and machine learning based models that will help drive insights and lay the foundation for a data driven culture that promotes decision intelligence. You will be leading a team composed of data scientists/analysts/engineers to help transform data into enterprise assets and solve complex problems using the latest technologies, and statistical and machine learning techniques. This will help to rapidly implement insights and to deploy scalable distributed algorithms to process a wide array of large and complex datasets. Main Activities

• Delivering machine learning or advanced analytics based use cases that contribute to the business kpi’s and help empower the frontline
• Build re-usable & robust infrastructures that help reduce overall technical debt and promote engineering and scientific best practices across the team
• Work with the leadership team to ensure that the existing model are in line with the business identified strategic deliverables
• Understand and collect project requirement, present analysis/ results, make recommendations on strategy formulation and solicit project feedback
• Advocate and promote the use of data analytics to drive fact-based activity and behaviour in Wholesale

Qualification

• Experience running an end to end solution and mentoring/managing junior data scientists
• Proficiency with python and the python Machine Learning tool kit along with Data Learning frameworks
• Proficiency/experience with Machine Learning deployment strategies and infrastructure
• Relevant academic qualifications in mathematics, statistics, physics or computer science
• Significant experience in presenting complex data science techniques to wide-ranging audiences
