A leading manufacturing company in Mexicali seeks a Factory Customer Quality Assurance Manager to drive resolution for problems in materials and products. The ideal candidate will lead problem-solving teams, have a strong background in quality tools, and ensure effective communication with customers. This role demands a Six Sigma Black Belt and a minimum of 10 years in industry experience.

Formación

  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience, preferably in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing and product quality management.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems and requirements.

Responsabilidades

  • Ensuring the resolution of identified problems with appropriate urgency.
  • Driving root cause analysis until identification and developing corrective action plans.
  • Leading problem-solving teams and the Fast Response System.
  • Facilitating problem-solving processes for non-conforming products.
  • Ensuring timely communication to customers regarding escalated issues.

Conocimientos

Strong communication, facilitation, and coordination skills

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field

Descripción del empleo

The primary focus of the Factory Customer Quality Assurance Manager is to drive resolution for problems in materials, components, and products through systematic and fast methodologies. Lead 8D problem resolution teams for internal and external concerns, including close interaction with other functions as needed. Serve as the go-to person for solving problems and providing training on fundamental quality tools, supporting continuous improvement efforts. Ensure flawless and on-time communication to customers and manage escalations.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Ensuring the resolution of identified problems with appropriate urgency, including confirming failure descriptions, driving emergency actions, collecting and reviewing manufacturing data, and ensuring timely containment actions.
  2. Driving root cause analysis until identification and developing corrective action plans.
  3. Leading problem-solving teams and the Fast Response System, including tool use, 8D content verification, and meeting response time requirements.
  4. Facilitating problem-solving processes for non-conforming products with relevant teams.
  5. Performing process capability studies, analyzing results, and recommending process changes with follow-up verification.
  6. Participating in modifications of FMEA.
  7. Ensuring timely communication to customers regarding escalated issues and driving accountability for problem resolution.
  8. Having the authority to stop processes or product deliveries in case of non-conformance, safety, or environmental risks.

Work Environment: Standard office, noisy & busy manufacturing areas/labs, and clean-room environments. The role is in a highly dynamic, technically challenging, and fast-paced manufacturing workplace.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and coordination skills.
  • Experience communicating with customers.
  • Expertise in problem-solving methodologies.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience, preferably in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing and product quality management.
  • Proficiency with Six Sigma, SPC, Variation Control, MSA, GR&R, and other quality tools.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems and copy exactly requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Six Sigma MBB certification is desirable.
