A leading logistics company in León, Guanajuato, is seeking a COUNTRY SUPPLY CHAIN EXTERNAL FLOWS TECHNICIAN. Responsibilities include managing customs imports and exports, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and coordinating audits. The ideal candidate should have experience in foreign trade programs and customs documentation.

COUNTRY SUPPLY CHAIN EXTERNAL FLOWS TECHNICIAN

Responsibility 1: Importing components, spare parts and fixed assets on time and complying with legal regulations

• Activity 1.1 Coordinates with broker and carrier components, fixed asset and mro importations and exportations thru the different customs ports.
• Activity 1.2 Ensure the customs paperwork is received complete from the customs brokers, and enters into the customs inventory control system.
• Activity 1.3 Control the physical recordkeeping by maintaining all the legal paperwork and its correspondent backup according to law.
• Activity 1.4 Complete accurately and on a timely manner all the different government agencies reports required by law.
• Activity 1.5 Maintain the customs inventory control system with appropriate documentation and having satisfactory balance levels according to ERP inventories. Ensure the data integrity of the system (BOM´s and item master file)
• Activity 1.6 Manage the customer requests for NAFTA Certificate of Origin and other free trade agreements.
• Activity 1.7 Support administrative work to comply with the maquiladora operation.
• Activity 1.8 Attend the different audits from authorities in terms of customs and import/export matters
• Activity 1.9 Maintain a fixed asset database for customs purposes.
• Activity 1.10 Creates work instructions and procedures for import and export matters and train and present to the end users at the plant.
• Activity 1.11 Establish checklists and performance audits to the brokers to ensure proper flow of materials on a timely manner and at the same time complying with customs regulations.
• Activity 1.12 Develop and deploy new standards to have a more automated operation based on benchmarking and best practices, mitigate risk of human error and manual rework.

Responsibility 2: Support the operation of the plant following guidelines and procedures

• Activity 1.1. Complete in time and form all the requirements of the different government agencies
• Activity 1..2 Maintain and seek the participation of the company in the different foreign trade programs (IMMEX, certified company, VAT certification)
• Activity 1.3 Maintain and control through the capture and analysis of reports of the inventory control system of all IMMEX programs that the company has (Annex 24).
• Activity 1.4 Complete the analysis of the finished products to meet all the requirements of the clients of the different free trade agreements.
• Activity 1.5 Support with the customs legal documentation the different flows for the fulfillment of the operation of the maquiladora and the distributor.
• Activity 1.6 Maintain the complete files for the legal file of the different companies.
• Activity 1. 7 Schedule and attend external foreign trade audits by offices and by the authorities

Activity 1.8. Update and develop the procedures of the different activities of the foreign trade area

• Activity 1.9 Maintain the fixed asset database complying with the necessary legal documentation and the physical identification of the equipment.

Responsibility 4: Management and monitoring of imports and exports

• Activity 4.1 Monitoring of imports with the customs agent for the Ramos and Puebla plants.
• Activity 4.2 Monitor and evaluate the performance of customs agents applying corrective actions and developing and updating procedures.
• Activity 4.3 Report the discrepancies to the logistics and materials departments according to their Kanban requirements.
• Activity 4.4 Quote and follow up on exports of components, machinery and equipment (except parcel)
• Activity 4.5 Make export invoices for shipments to customers and shipments from the different areas of the plant.
