More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Continuous Improvement Manager in CLS Mexicali with Signify.

• Manage the application of standard processes and Continuous Improvement through Cooper Lean Six Sigma (CLSS) and support Total Waste Elimination activities (TWE Cost Out) to achieve plant objectives by coaching employees to promote a culture of continuous improvement and savings.
• Drive Continuous Improvement efforts to meet process improvement goals while fostering cultural change across the organization through CLSS.
• Ensure the organization continually applies and understands Continuous Improvement tools, strategies, and project management techniques.
• Plan the development and management of cost-saving and lean manufacturing projects.
• Train on processes required for CLSS / TWE.
• Establish a project portfolio that will provide annual cost savings.
• Train, apply, and coordinate Value Added Engineering (VAVE) events and methodologies to support the division.
• Develop new VAVE ideas and analyze them to determine if the benefits justify project effort.
• Evaluate compliance with standardized processes and procedures to ensure the integrity of VAVE projects from a technical and cost perspective.
• Analyze current and new supplier quotes for cost-saving projects.
• Meet the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, CTPAT, OEA, Safety, and other applicable certifications.
• Manage projects through analysis, justification, and cost reduction.
• Administer training and development functions at the plant level.
• Participate in recognition programs.
• Plan and organize the area engineer according to operational needs.
• Evaluate and approve engineering changes, specifications, and release of component or product specifications.
• Coordinate and approve processes for BOM creation, MRP, and data maintenance in SAP.
• Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
• Lead the team in manufacturing process activities such as assembly and testing to ensure optimal production output. Lead the introduction of new products (NPDL) and transfer of work (TOW) from other sites.
• Coordinate VA/VA activities related to alternative processes and component validation supporting site or divisional projects.
• Implement, promote, and maintain a safe work environment through accident prevention culture, root cause investigation, and risk reduction.
• Promote the company's mission and vision by actively supporting ethics, values, and quality policies.
• Encourage and promote training channels and recognition of achievements and results.
