About Us

At Félix, we’re building the financial ecosystem for Latin immigrants in the U.S., starting with a revolution in remittances. Our core product is an AI‑powered bot built on WhatsApp, allowing our users to send money home as easily as sending a text message. We leverage cutting‑edge technology like AI, blockchain, and stablecoins to make cross‑border payments faster, more affordable, and more accessible than ever before.

We are a hyper‑growth Series B company, backed by over $100 million in funding from top‑tier global investors, including QED, Castle Island, Switch Ventures, HTwenty, Monashees, and General Catalyst Customer Value Fund. Félix was selected as an “Endeavour Entrepreneur” and received the CrossTech Fintech Startups Award. We are a team of extremely talented and dedicated high‑performers united by a shared obsession with a single goal: empowering our customers. We are all owners of Félix, driven by a bias for action and a true experimentation spirit to get shit done with urgency and focus.

Joining Félix means you will be part of a team building a legacy, a company that will outlive us all. This is a rare opportunity to apply your skills to a deeply meaningful mission—serving a community that has been underserved for too long. We are fiercely loyal to each other, where radical transparency and constructive feedback are how we grow and push for excellence. We are bold, we care less about what others are doing, and more about creating sustainable value and a product that truly makes our users’ lives better. We are building the future, today.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Compliance Operations Team Lead who is passionate about building high‑performance teams while balancing exceptional customer service and ensuring the security of our platform and strictly adhering to all regulatory and internal compliance.

You’ll lead a team of 7 to 10 support specialists, ensuring operational excellence and compliance adherence. While data is important, this position prioritizes strategic execution and leadership. We require a proactive problem‑solver dedicated to driving customer success through innovation and mentorship.

Responsibilities
  • Empower the Team: Mentor and develop a squad of 7–10 Compliance Operations Specialists, turning potential into high performance through consistent coaching and feedback.
  • Turn Insights into Action: Go beyond simple tracking; analyze metrics to uncover root causes and drive data‑backed operational pivots.
  • Scale the Operation: ruthlessly identify friction points and build scalable workflows that remove bottlenecks before they become roadblocks.
  • Bridge the Gaps: Act as the connective tissue between Compliance, Product, and Engineering to ensure our processes protect the business while delighting the customer.
  • Lead from the Front: Foster a culture of ownership and learning, while being ready to jump into the queue or handle high‑stakes escalations alongside your team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or related fields.
  • 3+ years in a Compliance, Trust & Safety, or Risk Operations Role, bonus points if it has been in the Fintech, Tech or Startup environment.
  • 1+ years in a people management role.
  • Proven track record of managing SLAs in high‑volume queues (KYC, AML, Document Verification) without sacrificing quality or regulatory standards.
  • You don’t just read reports; you use data to optimize team capacity, forecast volume, and identify fraud patterns. (Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets is required; SQL is a plus).
  • Familiarity with support platforms (Zendesk, Intercom) and, crucially, Identity Verification (IDV) tools (e.g., Veriff, Persona).
  • Upper‑Intermediate written and verbal English.
  • Comfortable operating in a high‑speed environment where regulations and fraud typologies evolve constantly. You stay calm when queues spike.
  • You are willing to handle escalations, review complex cases, and work occasional weekend shifts or on‑call rotations to support business‑critical operations.
  • These are the applicable requisites, although equivalent competencies in any of the above will also be considered.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary: $28,000 MXN gross per month + annual performance bonus.
  • 100% remote work.
  • Flexible PTO policy.
  • Health insurance.
  • Fast‑paced, high‑impact environment where your work truly matters.
  • Opportunities to grow and lead as we scale across new markets.
