Data Science Senior Analyst

The Data Science Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role focused on applying in‑depth disciplinary knowledge to develop new techniques and improve data and workflow processes. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities, including coaching and training new recruits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct strategic data analysis, identify insights and implications, and make strategic recommendations.
• Mine and analyze data from various banking platforms to drive optimization and improve data quality.
• Deliver analytics initiatives to address business problems, assessing time & effort and establishing project plans.
• Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and how multiple areas integrate toward business objectives.
• Solve complex system issues through in‑depth evaluation of business processes and industry standards; recommend solutions.
• Lead the system change process from requirements through implementation, and provide user and operational support to business users.
• Formulate and define system scopes and objectives for complex projects, integrating applicable business systems and industry standards.
Ensure the quality of work provided by self and others, impacting own team and closely related teams.
• Consider business implications of technology applications, identifying and communicating risks and impacts.
• Drive communication between business leaders and IT, exhibiting sound diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.
• Perform other duties and functions as assigned.
• Assess risk in business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding clients and assets, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.

Qualifications

• 5‑8 years experience in business and data analysis, process improvement, and project management.
• Ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive, and problem‑solving techniques.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Methodical attention to detail.
• Experience using tools for statistical modeling of large data sets.

Education

• Bachelor’s or University degree or equivalent experience.
