A global technology solutions provider is seeking a Cloud Operations Architect based remotely from Mexico or the United States. In this role, you will manage cloud operations, act as a key technical expert for customer issues, and drive efficiency initiatives in cloud environments. Ideal candidates should have over four years of AWS-focused cloud architecture experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the capability to provide hands-on, customer-centric support. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and lead critical operational improvements.

Formación

  • 4+ years in cloud architecture and operations focused on AWS.
  • Strong background in System Administration (Linux and Windows).
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform and CloudFormation).
  • Scripting skills (Python or Bash) with AWS SSM or Lambda experience.
  • Familiarity with AWS managed services (ECS, EKS, Elastic Beanstalk).
  • Knowledge of APM tools (New Relic, DataDog, or Dynatrace).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • AWS Professional Certification (required within 90 days of hire).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience providing world-class support in a customer-facing role.

Responsabilidades

  • Act as a high-level escalation point for critical customer issues.
  • Review and analyze Problem Management tickets and Root Cause Analysis reports.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to address urgent customer needs.
  • Provide technical guidance for AWS infrastructure implementations.
  • Identify trends in monitoring tools and optimize alert thresholds with customers.
  • Create and maintain Terraform modules for efficient infrastructure deployment.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally on customer environment improvements.
  • Manage the code that handles Mission’s backup, patching, and monitoring tools.
  • Review merge requests and provide Change Advisory Board approval.
  • Lead Cloud Operations improvement projects, including Terraform module development.

As a Cloud Operations Architect, you’ll spearhead efficiency initiatives within our Cloud Operations team. You’ll serve as a key escalation point, providing expert technical guidance and hands-on support to both customers and team members. Your role is crucial in ensuring our customer environments perform optimally.

This position is 100% remote that sits in either the United States or Mexico.

What you'll do:

Incident Management
  • Act as a high-level escalation point for critical customer issues

  • Review and analyze Problem Management tickets and Root Cause Analysis reports

  • Participate in on-call rotation to address urgent customer needs

Customer Success
  • Participate in the customer onboarding process

  • Provide technical guidance for AWS infrastructure implementations

  • Identify trends in monitoring tools and optimize alert thresholds with customers

Technical Operations
  • Create and maintain Terraform modules for efficient infrastructure deployment

  • Collaborate cross-departmentally on customer environment improvements

  • Manage the code that handles Mission’s backup, patching, and monitoring tools

  • Review merge requests and provide Change Advisory Board approval

  • Handle highly confidential customer information and environments

Continuous Improvement
  • Lead Cloud Operations improvement projects, including Terraform module development

  • Automate solutions for repetitive tasks

  • Build and maintain a documentation library for internal tooling

  • Identify improvement opportunities from customer alerts and implement action plans

What we expect of you:

  • 4+ years in cloud architecture and operations focused on AWS

  • Strong background in System Administration (Linux and Windows)

  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform and CloudFormation)

  • Scripting skills (Python or Bash) with AWS SSM or Lambda experience
