Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts
- Contribute towards manual and automation testing at appropriate levels (backend, API, UI, Performance, Scalability, and Security) based on project requirements
- Integrate automated tests with CI / CD pipeline while storing results in AWS
- Understands the drivers and requirements of the business and translates those into tests
- Identify, troubleshoot and write-up reproducible quality defects
- Creates functional, non-functional, and integration testing environment or components and root‑cause analyses (replicate, debug) for moderate features with limited assistance
- Works with design, development, and the Product Owner to identify high-risk test areas early in the development process
- Prepare and lead review of test artifacts—including test plan, verification plan, traceability reports, execution reports, and other related documents
- Troubleshoots complex problems with existing or newly developed software by both product behavior and reading code
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical Degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- An experienced professional with a full understanding of software quality engineering methodologies and processes with expertise in both manual and automated testing
- Experience with testing methodologies and strategies, including black box, grey box, and white box testing; feature, functional, continuous integration, continuous deployment, continuous testing, and regression testing
- Experience in Python
- Experience in RobotFramework with Appium using Python
- Deep understanding of SDLC process in FDA regulated environment—traceability
- Creative, independent, self‑motivated and willing to learn new technologies
- Self-starter and detail oriented
- Must be self-managed, highly motivated, able to deliver work on time and complete to specification
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical and analysis skills
- High level of initiative with ability to self-manage
- Experience with automated test tools and white box testing strongly preferred
- Prior software quality assurance experience in FDA regulated product development environment preferred
- Must be flexible, can work under tight deadlines, and support off‑hours deployment / maintenance as needed
