What will you do?
- Analyze product specifications and clarify product requirements and manufacturing aspects with R&D, Engineering, and Product Management.
- Plan overall layout of production sequences and processes, including machine and equipment configuration.
- Define process and equipment specifications in collaboration with internal engineers and external service providers and suppliers.
- Develop detailed cost concepts for processes and equipment, including cost-benefit and risk scenarios, and prepare decision memos for management.
- Evaluate and approve suppliers and service providers for hardware and software equipment in cooperation with Siemens Purchasing.
- Plan implementation processes for new production sequences in collaboration with local Industrial Engineering teams.
- Support testing and approval of pre-series results and coordinate issue resolution with external providers.
- Design automation devices and ensure integration into production systems.
- Manage relationships with integrator suppliers to ensure successful implementation of automation solutions.
What you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years in manufacturing process planning and equipment specification.
- Experience in designing automation devices and managing integrator suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of production layouts, process optimization, and supplier evaluation.
- Experience in cost analysis and risk assessment for manufacturing projects.
- SAP, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and industrial standards.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.
