Clara is backed by some of the most successful investors in the world, including top regional VCs like monashees, Kaszek, and Canary, and leading global funds like Notable Capital, Coatue, DST Global Partners, ICONIQ Growth, General Catalyst, Citi Ventures, SV Angel, Citius, Endeavor Catalyst, and Goldman Sachs - in addition to dozens of angel investors and local family offices. We’re building the financial infrastructure that powers high-performing organizations across the region. We invite you to join us if you want to be part of a fast-paced environment that will accelerate your career and support you to do some of the best work of your life alongside a passionate and committed team distributed across the Americas.

What you'll do

We're looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Core Cards Processing team. This role sits at the heart of Clara’s payment infrastructure, working on high-impact initiatives across products like Travel, Fleet, and Corporate Cards. You will collaborate with processors, networks (Mastercard), and internal engineering to build and scale core issuing capabilities. You will have ownership over critical initiatives impacting transaction processing, card lifecycle, settlement, and operational efficiencies.

  • Core Product Ownership: Drive the evolution of Clara’s card processing infrastructure, including issuing, card flows, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and payments application.
  • Vertical Enablement: Partner with business teams to translate vertical needs into core platform capabilities and enable new card-based products through core infrastructure.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and external providers (like Mastercard) to coordinate initiatives and support delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Product Discovery & Delivery: Turn complex operational and business problems into structured product solutions, contributing to roadmap planning and long-term platform evolution.
Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Must haves

  • Working proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience or strong exposure to payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure (similar to environments like Stripe).
  • Structured problem solving: Ability to break down complex financial infrastructure problems into clear product requirements.
  • Execution & delivery: Comfortable managing product initiatives from discovery to production.
  • Stakeholder management: Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and external partners.
  • Experience or interest in AI tools to automate workflows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and adaptability to fast-changing environments.
  • Ownership-driven: You take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.

Nice to haves

  • Understanding of card products, issuing, processing, or payment flows.
  • Experience with payment networks (Mastercard, Visa) or familiarity with payment rails.
  • Independent analytical skills using spreadsheets or Metabase.
  • Basic proficiency in Portuguese or a desire to learn it.
  • A good sense of humor.
