Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced data and analytics professional to join our Global Commercial Analytics team. In this role, you will develop and automate data transformation pipelines, integrating data sources from across the business to drive customer understanding and operational efficiency. As a key member of the analytics team, you will influence the tech stack and frameworks we develop while collaborating with departments like Marketing, Sales, Digital, Supply Chain, and eCommerce.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Data Pipelines: Use SQL and Python to write production-quality code that meets the data transformation needs of analysts, data scientists, and other business partners.
- Design Data Models: Translate business requirements into well-documented data models and help design transparent ELT pipelines that deliver timely and accurate data.
- Support Analytics Infrastructure: Support the use of analytics platforms and data science workflows while identifying opportunities to strengthen and scale our data foundation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various business units to understand data needs and identify opportunities to use data to drive business solutions.
- Technical Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a clear and compelling manner.
- Vendor & IT Partnership: Evaluate external partners for analytics initiatives and partner with IT to align on data architecture, tools, and other technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience as a data analyst, data scientist, analytics engineer, or data engineer.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and/or Python to wrangle and integrate data. Practical experience using data visualization or BI tools like Domo or Tableau.
- Data Engineering Knowledge: A strong understanding of modern data warehouse design principles and data engineering best practices.
- Business Acumen: A commercially astute individual with strategic capabilities and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master\'s Degree in a quantitative field.
- Demonstrated experience with Git/GitHub, dbt Core/Cloud, and Airflow.
- Understanding of marketing analytics concepts like marketing mix modeling, churn risk prediction, and customer lifetime value.
- Familiarity with SAP systems (ECC, C4C, S4 HANA).
