Founding Fullstack Engineer - Remote EU
Job summary
A pioneering SaaS company is looking for a Founding Fullstack Engineer to take ownership of their product's backend and frontend. This role will involve making key architectural decisions, shipping features quickly, and working directly with founders and customers. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in fullstack development, enjoy a startup environment, and possess excellent communication skills in English. Full remote flexibility is offered within Europe.

- 5+ years of experience in fullstack development.
- Experience working in early-stage startups — ideally as a founding or first engineer.
- Hands-on expertise with our stack or similar.
- Proven ability to work end-to-end, from database schema to frontend UX.
- Startup mentality: bias for action, ownership, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus).
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and scale backend APIs, infrastructure, and frontend interfaces.
- Define technical architecture, coding standards, and security best practices.
- Join calls with users, understand their workflows, and translate insights into product improvements.
- Help recruit, mentor, and onboard future engineers.
- Deliver features and improvements on tight timelines.
