Position Overview
The Application Engineer is a customer-facing role that promotes Siemens EDA's analog/mixed-signal circuit simulation technologies and Solido products, which are leading tools for variation-aware design and characterization of standard cell, memory, and analog/RF designs.
This role requires technical expertise in circuit design, verification, and applications, along with strong communication skills, organizational management experience, and team-building abilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple customer engagements, focusing on technical support, product demonstrations, evaluations, and driving product adoption.
- Collaborate with sales and account teams to understand customer needs and develop solutions.
- Provide technical support during pre-sale and post-sale phases, including assessments, demonstrations, and evaluations.
- Support on-site troubleshooting and customer training.
- Work with marketing and product teams to provide field insights and define new product features.
- Maintain communication with design engineering regarding product reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
- Experience with analog/mixed-signal circuit design and simulation tools such as Spectre, HSPICE, Eldo, AFS, and Cadence AMS Designer.
- Familiarity with IC schematic and layout tools like Cadence Virtuoso.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux OS and scripting or C programming.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel (at least 25%).
