We’re looking for: Senior Backend Developer

The Role: As a Senior Backend Developer, you will contribute to the development of the backend components of Bitfinex services (main trading application, Lightning Network support, blockchain integrations, and more). This includes:

• New products and features developed with agile methodologies to provide a professional trading experience.
• Scalability: backend services must remain smooth, responsive, and real-time as the platform grows, including the Bitfinex API.
• Security: build API services and backend processes with high security standards to protect users.

What You Bring to the Table

• Exceptional Node/JavaScript skills
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Experience developing on a complex platform
• Good experience with databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Solid understanding of security practices

Other Valuable Skills

• Experience with blockchain integration
• High-availability concepts
• Ruby, Rust or C++ skills are a plus
• Other technologies: Redis (message queues), caches and job queues
