Purpose of the job
In PI Spares & Repairs specialist management role, you are in charge of defining and controlling adequate inventory level of materials and the management of whole Repair Loop, in order to fulfil Warranty Operations requirements while minimizing cash immobilization.
Main responsibilities
- Define and execute the Services Material planning and Inventory strategy according to customers’ Warranty obligations and internal constraints;
- Guarantee material availability through appropriate needs scheduling and follow‑up;
- Improve Services performance in term of materials' availability and inventory management;
- Interface with all internal and external functions to grant that repair orders would be managed and processed within the targeted time;
- Define the order‑reorder strategy to optimise the inventory coverage reducing the stock‑out occurrences;
- Set parts categories (based on ABC, variability, business type...etc) for defining planning strategy and stock replenishment;
- Manage shipment's requests, both from Central Warehouse to Customers, both from Customers to Repair centres, according to Alstom procedures;
- Assure the full traceability of broken parts, to be repaired, within the company SAP system;
- Support and follow‑up the warehouse people, providing all info required, in order to guarantee that all materials will be shipped/delivered to Customers according to maintenance priorities;
- Provide to sourcing department the forecast of the material needs and the list of priorities in terms of source of supplying to be according to the contracts;
- Define and implement action plans and improvements in the planning process;
- Define and set‑up ERP parameters to implement material planning strategies and ensure the data accuracy on SAP;
- Improve the specific tools used for planning, based on the historical data and according to the customers plan;
- Analyse Inventory content for correcting planning strategies;
- Define, implement and manage improvement plans in regard of Inventory reduction;
- Measure performance in Supply Chain processes and create reports for analysis.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of SAP and other informative systems to manage materials;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
- Ability in data extracting and manipulation;
- Excellent knowledge of English language;
- Experience in Supply Chain (almost 2 years);
- Good attitude to personal relationships and Team Working;
- Reliability, flexibility and motivation.
