Job Description

Hitachi Rail seeks an enthusiastic, self-motivated Maintenance Technical Supervisor to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The role involves administrative and strategic tasks. Location: Genoa, Italy.

Accountabilities

• Collaborate with the Site Manager on OS&M operations, planning and executing activities.
• Focus on objectives, targets, and measurements for commissioning, maintenance, and support services to meet goals and customer satisfaction.
• Manage the multi-disciplinary maintenance team to meet client requirements and policies.
• Supervise documentation of significant events for trains under maintenance.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems, intervening personally and coordinating resources.
• Plan, direct, and control commissioning and maintenance strategies and budgets.
• Manage daily maintenance services cost-effectively.
• Lead the local maintenance team and oversee its performance.
• Implement retrofits/modifications during commissioning and warranty periods.
• Communicate relevant information internally and participate in operations management, collaborating with quality, materials, engineering departments, etc.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement savings initiatives.
• Effectively communicate with groups of customers, employees, or contractors.
• Prepare periodic reports on activities.
• Ensure adequate spare parts stocks at warehouses.
• Ensure site activities comply with HSE standards.

Required Skills / Knowledge

• Preferably experience with railway vehicle maintenance or commissioning.

Education / Qualifications
