A leading engineering company is seeking a Static Equipment Project Leader in Milan. The role involves managing a team and coordinating project activities while ensuring compliance with budget and technical requirements. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in mechanical engineering and strong leadership skills.
He / She is responsible for the activities pertaining to the discipline within a project, in compliance with the assigned budget, the project schedule, and the technical project requirements, assuring cost optimization as well. He / She manages a group of Static Equipment Engineers appointed to the project and reports to the Project Engineering Manager for the peculiarities of the project and to the Static Equipment Head of Department for the management of the resources and the quality of the deliverables.
Key Activities & Responsibilities:
To prepare and coordinate with the Project Team (Project Director / Project Manager and Project Engineering Manager) and Static Equipment Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life.
To ensure the coordination of the activities of the discipline regardless of the location and distribution of the engineering centers, guaranteeing the consistency of the documents with the contract, respecting the time schedule, implementing the contract requirements, ensuring the compliance of the assigned budget, and maintaining the quality of the deliverables under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager and cooperating with the other Project Lead Engineers.
To supervise and actively participate in the preparation and review of the project technical specifications, material requisitions for tenders, technical evaluations, and technical follow-up of manufacturers.
To interface with Client representatives and Manufacturers on all technical topics impacting the project in terms of time and costs, and to discuss potential manufacturing schedule improvements with the manufacturers.
To provide assistance to the inspection and construction departments as needed per project requirements.
To coordinate with Construction and Site Project Control teams to collect the Required On Site Date, verify alignment with the current supply schedule, and assess potential float in the Construction plan.
To provide feedback to the Static Equipment Head of Department regarding problems arising from the application of standard methods and work instructions, aiming to improve the department's effectiveness and efficiency.
