Service Sales Engineer – Busch Vacuum Solutions

Description

We are seeking a Service Sales Engineer to play a crucial role in promoting and selling our service offerings, maintaining client relationships, and driving growth in the service business across Italy.

Responsibilities
  • Sell the entire Busch Group service product portfolio to customers in the industrial market throughout Italy.
  • Achieve Service Sales targets across all Italian markets relevant to the Busch Group, aligning growth objectives with Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Develop Service Sales strategies for accounts based on current business and long‑term plans.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive services.
  • Identify and pursue new service sales opportunities with existing and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads, opportunities and convert prospects into clients.
  • Define, negotiate and formalize Service Contracts with customers, ensuring alignment with technical requirements, commercial conditions and company policies.
  • Develop value‑based service proposals integrating maintenance, digital tools and lifecycle support.
  • Promote data‑driven and IoT‑enabled service solutions to enhance system reliability, predictive maintenance and customer value.
  • Work closely with the technical team to develop customized solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, marketing, customer support) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Submit service sales forecasts supported by market trends and competition.
  • Use C4 SAP CRM to manage opportunities, track customer interactions and ensure accurate service sales reporting.
  • Comply with all health and safety initiatives to maintain a safe workplace.
Your background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales/engineering experience in a Service or aftermarket business environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple, divergent priorities and work independently with high accuracy.
  • Thorough knowledge of the company’s purpose, values, code of conduct, business model and related processes, services and price/discount structure/policies.
  • Customer service focus, sense of urgency to meet or exceed customer expectations and achieve daily commitments.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally.
  • Fluent in Italian and English, spoken and written.
  • IT proficiency (Microsoft Office tools/CRM); SAP – Fiori Module is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s licence (B) and willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory and Italy.
