Job Purpose

The SEO Specialist will be a key contributor to the Corporate SEO team, lending expertise to MSC's global SEO strategies. This role involves supporting the transcreation process of master SEO content across MSC Cruises D2C websites, guiding Web Coordinators in adapting English-language materials while ensuring compliance with SEO best practices.

Understanding the ongoing evolutions of how AI is reshaping search results and influencing user behaviour is essential, as is the ability to monitor AI agents as an integrated part of online search.

Key Accountabilities

Market-Level SEO Support

• Support SEO initiatives, working with the SEO Content Coordinator and Web Coordinators to ensure SEO content strategies are consistently and effectively applied across MSC Cruises' websites.
• Collaborate with Web Coordinators to track and analyse SEO performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  
  

Market-Level Technical SEO Assistance

• Collaborate with the SEO Lead to implement technical SEO recommendations across MSC Cruises' websites.
• Help monitor and fix technical SEO issues.
  
  

Link Building

• Help create and carry out strategies to build links across MSC Cruises' websites.
• Monitor link-building performance and find ways to improve
• Help conduct thorough SEO audits and assist in troubleshooting technical website issues to maintain optimal site health for MSC.
  
  

Qualifications, Experiences, Skills

• 3+ years of experience as an SEO Specialist, ideally in the travel, hospitality, or e-commerce sectors, understanding unique quality challenges in customer-facing digital environments.
• Experience in applying comprehensive SEO principles and methodologies, including thorough keyword research, impactful content development, technical SEO, and strategic link building.
• Comprehensive SEO Proficiency: demonstrated expertise in both onsite and offsite SEO methodologies. This includes hands-on experience with Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, SiteImprove, ScreamingFrog, as well as CMS platforms (AEM knowledge is a strong advantage).
• Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple SEO initiatives and workflows efficiently.
• Collaboration & Communication: Excellent collaboration skills for assisting cross-functional teams and managing external partnerships.
• Strategic Link-Building & Vendor Management: Proven ability to develop and implement effective link-building strategies, coupled with strong collaboration skills to work directly with vendors and MSC' managers in overseeing the entire process.
• AI in Search Awareness: A practical understanding of how AI influences search results, including its impact on search queries and user behaviour.
