A leading engineering firm in Italy is seeking a TLC Engineering Specialist to supervise engineering activities for various projects. The role requires a Bachelor/Master Degree in Electronics or Telecommunications Engineering and 5-10 years of relevant experience, focusing on security and safety systems. Competenze

• 5-10 years of experience in TLC Engineering in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Energy EPC projects.
• Deep knowledge of TLC communication protocols and networking.
• Proven competence in instrument installation and hook-up.

Purpose of the Role

• Be a technical champion of TLC within the team.
• Supervise the TLC engineering activities related for the assigned projects.
• Develop technical alternative solutions guaranteeing high quality standards and profitability increase.

Primary responsibilities and duties

• Check or approve the main deliverables relevant to TLC issued by Instrumentation discipline : design criteria, technical specifications, mechanical data sheets, inspection data sheets, material requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
• Support the Chief Instrumentation Engineers of the various project in reviewing Vendor documentation relevant to TLC Packages.
• Perform basic design for TLC systems according to applicable codes.
• Define technical solutions for complex problems.
• Propose optimization / changes in order to minimize quantity / costs or optimize project schedule.
• Support Chief Engineers in reviewing Tender documentation and prepare clarification requests during bid phase.
• Provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues.
• Promote transfer of knowledge through mentoring and training.
• Prepare if necessary Lesson learned.
• Participate to External engineering company Qualification for TLC.
• Prepare TLC training program.
• Participate to most critical FAT.

• Deep Knowledge of Industrial TLC Plant Security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection)
• Deep Knowledge of Industrial TLC Plant Safety systems (PA / GA systems, Radio communications,)
• Deep Knowledge of Industrial TLC Plant Communication ( systems structural cabling, office network, telephone system)
